Google plans to improve its search engine performance using caffeine, but not caffeine in its actual meaning. Caffeine is a secret code to the project of technology development by Google's newest search engine developer. Google also name it as the next-generation architecture for Google's web search.

Sitaram Iyer, Staff Software Engineer and Matt Cutts, Principal Engineer in the Official Google Webmaster Central Blog wrote, "For the last several months, a large team of Googlers has been working on a secret project: a next-generation architecture for Google's web search. It's the first step in a process that will let us push the envelope on size, indexing speed, accuracy, comprehensiveness and other dimensions."

Main target of Caffeine development is to create a search that can produces faster results, accurate, and based on the context. The more relevant search results and faster time of searching as Twitter and Bing done may be one of the main concerns that also configured.

Infrastructure for the newest technology is under one roof with a search engine that is currently used. Therefore, most users will not feel any changes of the search results. However, web developers and internet users who rely on Google search results in their business will feel the changes.

Therefore, Google is opening opportunities to all internet users, especially software developers to provide feedback to the project. Although stepping its early stage, the search results with caffeine technology can tested in www2.sandbox.google.com.
