T-Mobile, the German mobile phones provider, recently announces that they are going to launch its latest Android phone called MyTouch 3G Slide. As the name mentioned, of course this MyTouch 3G Slide is a side-slider phone with a full keyboard, 3G and Android 2.1. The Slide version is different from the previous original MyTouch products. The design of MyTouch 3G Slide is completely different, as you can see in the picture.

The T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide has a 3.4" HVGA screen, but it will offer some different experiences than you would expected before. T-Mobile have thrown in some custom interface changes, on a level that can almost rival what HTC have done.

LG Electronics Inc. recently unveils its newest Android Smartphones. Previously the LG LU 2300 Smartphone got a positive responses from the smartphone market. And now one of the top cellphone manufacturer has launched the LG SU 950/LG KU 9500.

Both of these handsets are going to be run on the open-source Android Mobile OS with 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPUs, a 3.5″ AMOLED 800X480 touchscreen display, and a nice 5 MP camera. Opera Software Acquires Email Service Provider FastMail.fm

In order to strengthen its Internet market, Opera Software ASA, a Norwegian Software plans to offer Mobile E-Mail services by taking over Web-based e-mail provider FastMail.fm, e-mail services provider from Australia.

In its press release recently, Opera said that the acquisition will enable Opera to expand its current messaging product portfolio and deliver cross-platform messaging to a wide range of devices, including computers, mobile phones, TVs and gaming consoles.

"The newest generation of Web users will discover the Web through a mobile device. Having world-class messaging capability alongside a rich and compelling Web experience is essential. By combining forces, Opera and FastMail.fm can offer messaging on any device. This will enhance the value Opera provides to consumers, while assisting our operator partners in reducing customer churn," says Rolf Assev, Chief Strategy Officer, Opera Software.

FastMail spokesman Rob Mueller in FastMail.FM Weblog said, "In an increasingly competitive market, we believe we need to make some big investments to take the next steps forward. Joining together Opera’s expertise in web browsers and especially the mobile market, and FastMail.FM’s expertise in email, will allow us to grow and take on the next big challenges in running and building an email service."

"Opera have a huge browser customer base (over 100 million users), and a thriving community of users at my.opera.com, which will help us grow FastMail in size and reach," he said.

As part of the deal, some of the Opera staff will be moved to Australia, and several employees of FastMail will be sent to Norway. Unfortunately not known exactly the funds expended by Opera Software to acquire Fastmail.

Findtoyou.com sites script theft case that allegedly carried out by stopanos.net hosting service, is likely to be brought into the realm of law. This will be done after the Indonesia's Search Engine Site managers were planning to report the stopanos.net hosting service manager to RI Police.

"God willing, dated 2 May 2010, we and our legal counsel will submit a report to the authorities for some vicarious infringement by stopanos.net refer to ITE (Information and Electronic Transaction) of Article 26-27," explained Fachrul Rozy, admin sekuritionline, who is also manager of findtoyou.com, to okezone.com via electronic mail on Friday (04/30/2010).

However, one of Google's latest acquisition is raising some big questions for many parties. Google has acquired Agnilux Inc, a stealth startup based in San Jose, California.

It's quite interesting for the observers of the internet technology. Because, Agnilux is a company consisting of former employees of Apple Inc. and PA Semi (Palo Alto Semiconductor), a Santa Clara, California based PowerPC processor company.

A few years ago, Apple bought PA Semi, whose technology, some claim, ended up in Apple's A4 processor. Some PA Semi people, however, left Apple shortly after the acquisition, opting to found a new start-up company instead. In addition, Scott Redman, Agnilux's director of application software is a former of software architect at TiVo.

Although Agnilux has never been officially announced what projects they are working on, the New York Times has reported that the company is in collaboration with Cisco of making the technology "Some kind of server" - that's as far as The New York Times got.

Mark Hayter, the chief operating officer at Agnilux, told The New York Times, "We want to make a splash, We don't want our manufacturer to take our intellectual property before we're ready." In other words, we have no clue as to what these guys are building.

HTTP, an abbreviation for Hypertext Transfer Protocol (A protocol used to request and transmit files, especially webpages and webpage components, over the Internet or other computer network), is felt as no longer needed because browser like Chrome has made the 'http://' as a default in the URL box, so that http:// is no need to be included again.

URL (Uniform resource locator or universal resource locator; an addressing scheme used by World Wide Web browsers to locate resources on the Internet) is a series of characters according to a certain standard formats, used to indicate the address of a source such as documents and images on the Internet.

Later on, URL fields will no longer display the 'http://', so Google Chrome users would no longer see http:// and simply enter the site address directly. Besides the problem of space in the URL box, the inclusion of http:// also often considered as a problem.

Oracle Corp., the second largest software manufacturer in the United States, has agreed to acquire Phase Forward Inc., Developer of clinical trials management software. Software runs on multiple platforms. Products are sold to the pharmaceutical, biotech and medical industries. This company was capitalized by venture capital. Oracle announced the deal, Saturday (17/4/2010).

Management of Oracle said they spend 685 million U.S. dollars for purposes of the acquisition phase Forward. Oracle pays 17 dollars per share in cash to shareholders of Phase Forward. The price was 30 percent higher than the price in the stock exchange floor of Phase Forward in the U.S. at the close on Thursday, valued at 13 dollars per share.

Bob Weiler, Chairman, President & CEO of Phase Forward, said, "Deployed in over 10,000 clinical trials, Phase Forward's software has been used successfully by hundreds of customers to accelerate innovation in drug development and patient care delivery. We look forward to combining our complementary wealth of experience with Oracle Health Sciences."

Phase Forward management and employees are expected to join Oracle as part of the Oracle Health Sciences Global Business Unit. The combination is expected to enable researchers, clinical development professionals, physicians, regulators and patients to more effectively and securely capture, contribute, access and share data. The acquisition of Phase Forward is consistent with Oracle's strategy to provide mission-critical applications for key industries.

"The life sciences and healthcare industries are converging as they seek to control costs while accelerating patient-centered innovation," said Neil de Crescenzo, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Oracle Health Sciences. "Phase Forward brings outstanding products and employees with significant expertise to Oracle that will help enable the delivery of personalized medicine and value-based healthcare."

On April 27th, Phase Forward will issue its financial results for the first quarter 2010, ended March 31, 2010. As a result of the company's announced acquisition by Oracle Corporation, the company no longer plans on hosting a conference call after the market close on that day.

When Apple Inc. will launch their latest product? This question is so prominent recently. All people, especially the loyal users of Apple products are very curious about the news that Apple iPhone 4G will soon be launched. Rumours are circulating around about the launch of Apple iPhone 4G or iPhone HD says the date is June 22.

"For this particular occasion, Apple has once again reserved the very conference center where the company announced the three previous versions of the iPhone," Messany reports. "So all signs, indeed, point to June 22nd proving the 4th gen iPhone's 'big day.' Knowing Apple, however, we probably won't know for sure until the evening of June 21st."

Facebook To Add Its Staffs Up To 50% This Year

(SCE) finally unveils the slimer version of its PlayStation 3 (PS3) videogame console and cut prices on existing models that have been struggling for momentum in the marketplace. Sony lopped $100 off the prices of PS3 consoles currently on the market to $299 for models with 80 gigabyte hard drives and $399 for those with 160 gigabyte hard drives.

Microsoft Corp., the world leading company in softwares, has been ordered by a US court decision to halt selling of their most used software MS Word in the US in 60 days. The ban decision, which is applicable for all of the versions 2003 and 2007, comes after it was determined that technology used in the software violates a patent held by i4i, a Canadian software maker.

This decision comes as the climax of a legal dispute that has been going on since May, when i4i was awarded $200 million damages from a federal jury. MS Word forms a part of the MS Office suite of productivity applications, which is one of Microsoft's best-selling products with millions of users worldwide. Word 2007 is the latest installment, with the next version of Office expected to be out only next year.

Microsoft is expected to appeal against the verdict. "We are disappointed by the court's ruling," said Microsoft spokesman Kevin Kutz. "We believe the evidence clearly demonstrated that we do not infringe and that the i4i patent is invalid."

i4i's dispute is centered on a way of processing electronic documents that removes the need for individual, manually embedded command codes to control text formatting in electronic documents. Both MS Word 2003 and MS Word 2007 use extensible markup language or XML. i4i says that Microsoft's method of customizing XML for its products infringes its patent.

However, things are not that bleak for the software giant. It is set to appeal and it's probable that the court verdict will be overruled. Barring that, Microsoft can try to come to an out of court settlement with i4i or just tweak its software to comply with the court's demand.

Cisco 2009 Midyear Security Report: Internet Crimes Are Getting More Sophisticated

The perpetrators of crime on the internet to update their tactics in spreading viruses, spams, malware, and computer identity theft. Now they also operate like a business person, implementing a strategy often used by companies, and work with others to increase the impact of their crimes.

A number of these new tactics are reported in Cisco 2009 Midyear Security Report released by the Internet network system company Cisco, early this month. One of the computer crime tactics used are to follow and take advantage of current events. For example, related outbreaks of H1N1 Swine Flu virus that start to spread on last april.

The perpetrators of crimes directly loading the internet with the spam of H1N1 prevention ads, and linked to fake pharmaceutical companies site. They also utilizing news for attacking their main victims.

Cisco's head of security researcher, Patrick Peterson, said secure Internet network is always changing because of the increasingly sophisticated threats to harm the corporate network security and then infiltrate corporate networks and steal datas.

"What is striking in our latest findings is how, in addition to using their technical skills to cast a wide net and avoid detection, these criminals are also demonstrating some strong business acumen. They are collaborating with each other, preying on individuals' greatest fears and interests, and increasingly making use of legitimate Internet tools like search engines and the software-as-a-service model." he said.

The Cisco® 2009 Midyear Security Report highlight the business strategies and techniques that are used most often by the perpetrators of crime to infiltrate corporate networks, compromise websites, or even to steal personal information and money.

Japanese electronics company, Sony will soon launches a smaller and cheaper e-book if compared with the products from Amazon.com, Kindle. Factory price of the reader pocket edition is 100 U.S. dollars, or about Rp 994 thousand. The price is certainly cheaper than the similiar products from the competitors.

Same as previous versions, this product has the look "electronic ink" that displays the text with dark background and a light colored. Meanwhile, the five-inch screen size is smaller than previous models.

This reader can not plays digital music files. It also does not have the memory card slot for internal storage up to 350 books. Retail price of this product is 199 U.S. dollars, or about Rp 1.975 million.

The price was three times cheaper than the Kindle previous models and around 80 U.S. dollars cheaper than the previous product of Sony, PRS-505. Meanwhile, the color will be available in three options namely blue, red, and silver.

President of Sony Digital Reading Business Division, Steve Haber, hoping the price will attract new consumers previously not interested in the product like this.

For that, Sony said it would also introduce a 299 U.S. dollars touch-screen device with a 6-inch display and slots for Sony's Memory Sticks or SD cards.

The Tokyo-based company said it also was dropping the price of bestselling and new-release titles sold at its website to 9.99 U.S. dollars from 11.99 U.S. dollars, matching the price of digital books sold on Amazon.com.

Apple iPhone 3GS Sold Over One Million In The First Three Days Launched

According to Apple company press release, Apple has sold one millions of its Apple iPhone 3G three days after its first launched. "iPhone 3G had a stunning opening weekend," said Steve Jobs, CEO of The Apple. "It took 74 days to sell the first one million original iPhones, so the new iPhone 3G is clearly off to a great start around the world."

Although at least one analyst had predicted that Apple and its partners would sell a million units worldwide at launch, a survey of stores conducted by Piper Jaffray's Gene Munster put sales at less than half that many.

In a report to clients issued a few hours before Apple's announcement, Munster had estimated that Apple had sold about 425,000 iPhones worldwide and that it would take Apple at least 17 days to hit the one million mark.

One explanation for the discrepancy may have to do with how Apple counts sales. Sales at Apple Stores are recorded at the register. But sales to its partners — in this case, AT&T and the overseas carriers — are recorded when the devices leave the loading docks in Asia. In other words, some of those 1 million iPhones recorded as sold by Apple (AAPL) may still be in transit.

Indeed, Munster makes the same point in a revised report issued to clients later Monday morning. He also speculates that sales must have accelerated over the weekend as Apple cleared up its iTunes activation problems:

"We underestimated the number of phones sold per hour throughout the weekend and Apple's recovery from activation issues. While we believe Friday's 24 phones per hour is probably a close guess for Friday, the number likely increased significantly on Saturday and Sunday, well above our previous estimate of 28 phones per hour."

In a second press release, Apple announced that iPhone and iPod touch owners have downloaded more than 10 million applications from the App Store since it launched. Steve Jobs proclaimed the online store, which offers more than 550 programs for wireless download, "a grand slam."
